If you have been in a collision, we recognize how traumatic that can be. We have insurance specialists to help your claim process run smoothly and most beneficial to you. The process of working with insurance companies can be a hassle, and time consuming. No matter the workload, we work and communicate with ALL insurance companies directly to help you every step of the way.
where we started
In 1951, Joachim Rost began an apprenticeship in a Berlin body shop that would lead to a passion for repairing and restoring German cars. He learned what quality auto repair truly is; only the best craftsmen, materials, and techniques should be used to do a job right.
Then, in 1966, Joachim carried this tradition of quality repair to the U.S. and opened German Auto Body in Palo Alto. Joachim taught his son, John, about this tradition of quality.
Since joining the family business in 1988, John has kept alive the spirit and passion for quality auto repair that his father acquired in that small shop in Berlin.

Our President, John Rost, is involved in the Porsche community as a Porsche Club of America (PCA) member! You can find him attending the occasional Cars and Coffee event, or at awards ceremonies celebrating autocross drivers and appreciating the engineering of the iconic brand.
John Rost is passionate about preserving the classic Porsche, a car admired by enthusiasts around the world. Our newest location in Gilroy, California, serves as both an Estimating Satellite and a dedicated restoration shop specializing in classic Porsche models. Here, John takes a hands-on approach - personally working on each vehicle and dedicating the time and attention needed to achieve perfection.
